Marni x H&M

H&M's latest collaboration announcement with Marni has everyone buzzing with excitement! I was a huge fan of the Lanvin for H&M collection last year however the womenswear selection of the recent Versace collaboration didn't quite spark my interest, Sorry Donatella!
Scheduled to release March 2012, Marni's collection offers major prints, bright color and over the top statement accessories making every piece a must in my spring wardrobe!

sunday style - B Brian Atwood

I've been eyeing these amaaazing wine color B Brian Atwood Paramour Suede Booties - available at shopbop for a good while now and had to share them with you. Perfection right? Sadly, they aren't available in my size and with Christmas around the corner I'll have to find something else to add to my wish list which won't be very difficult but I can't say that getting over the gorgeous booties will be easy.

sunday style - confident collars

I'm always drawn to a chunky over-the-top necklace and the recent trend of decorative collars has become my new obsession. I found a slightly toned down version at Zara (below) but if you don't want to go out and buy a new blouse you can decorate your look with a beautiful statement necklace like some featured above.

july luxe box - loose button

JULY LUXE BOX included;
1. Stella McCartney Stella In Two Peony Perfume - First thing to remember is that perfume does not smell the same on everyone. This scent is fresh and feminine and smells like, you guessed it, peonies! I very much enjoyed it and pretty much used up the entire sample. Like I mentioned before, perfumes are a tricky thing so check it out at your local department store or Sephora.
Overall Rating: 10/10

2. Essie nail polish in Material Girl - Loved this color, the perfect vampy red for fall. Great application, not at all runny like some of their other shades.
Overall Rating: 10/10

3. Proclaim Argan Hair Oil Treatment - This product claims to provide intense shine and help eliminate frizz. I'm not quite sure if it provided intense shine, but overall this product was fairly good. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent, it was quite strong but it disappeared after I finished my blow-dry. Although I enjoyed this product I must confess that I'm a huge Moroccan Oil fan and if it came down to it Moroccan Oil would get my vote. However, Proclaim is a great less expensive alternative.
Overall Rating: 7/10

4. Trucco eyeliner pencil in Ivy - I'm not very colorful when it comes to my eyeliner, I'm more of a basic black kohl eyeliner kind of girl so this product wasn't entirely useful to me. I did try it and will say that the color is very rich and application was smooth.
Overall Rating: 9/10 (based on application and quality, not color)

sole mate - jeffrey campbell zoe wedge

Jeffrey Campbell Zoe Wedge $235 available at SSENSE

I seem to have an obsession with anything Jeffrey Campbell, pretty sure he's my sole mate...just saying! These beautiful reptile embossed wedges are so necessary in my fall/winter wardrobe. I've been on a shopping diet for almost 3 months and it's very likely that these wedges are going to be my big splurge once it's all over - 20 days and counting. Yes, making a big purchase almost defeats the purpose of my shopping diet but try restraining yourself from shopping for 3 months and let me know how you feel.

rainbow bright

This beautifully styled and photographed campaign (left and below) by Swedish retailer Style Crimes has a very similar aesthetic to BCBG's Fall 2011 ad campaign (right). The use of color and light is so refreshing and the deep hues of rainbow hair is nothing short of inspiring, if not for a future trip to the salon then at least a new perspective on fall color combinations.

beauty fix - clinique

Clinique Acne Solution Spot Gel $17.50                              Clinique Deep Comfort Hand & Cuticle Cream $22

Hello my lovely style strutters! I have some wonderful beauty finds to share with you all. I spent last weekend in Vermont at my good friends' cottage (thanks again Charles and Lily!!) for some relaxing outdoorsy girl time. Although it was truly relaxing an unexpected companion popped up during my weekend getaway, a major frenemy also known as a pimple - cue dramatic music! Thus bringing me to my latest discovery Clinique's Acne Solutions Spot Treatment Gel. This product works wonders, simply dab a small amount of the clear gel twice a day and within a few days POOF that thing has disappeared allowing you to get back to canooing, sitting outside under the hot sun or enjoying a tub of Ben & Jerry's Red Velvet ice cream! Yes, you read that correctly Ben & Jerry's makes red velvet ice cream MMMmmmmmmm
Another great beauty find is Clinique's Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream. This moisturizer leaves your hands silky smooth without that unnecessary residue.
I've attached one of the few photos I took over the weekend, as you can see I managed to capture truly important moments i.e. discovering this deliciously satisfying midnight snack.

who wore it best - red & pink

Remember when Emma Stone wore this adorable Giambattista Valli red top and pink skirt to the Friends With Benefits Premiere?
Sidenote: still haven't seen that movie but I did see The Help with my friend Alix and we cried like babies (as did the rest of the theatre) go see The Help and bring lots of Kleenex.
Ok let's get back on track, this unique color combo which was once a fashion faux-pas (aka Valentine's day overkill) is now up for debate. Sarah Jessica Parker pulls off these colors in a slightly more demure yet playful way while visiting Letterman in a Prabal Gurung ensemble.
I vote for Emma Stone on this one simply because Sarah Jessica Parker's choice to complete her look with white pumps just doesn't do it for me.

WHO DO YOU THINK WORE IT BEST?
