I’ve been invited to The Heels & Heart’s Fashion Wonderland event (thank you Jane and Kristina!!!) taking place this Saturday, May 14, 2011 at The Darling Foundry in Old Montreal. The event brings together art and fashion for a good cause. This year’s event will be donating all proceeds to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
The Heels & Heart event will be presenting up-and-coming Montreal designers who have created wearable art with an Alice in Wonderland theme (my favorite Disney movie by the way!) to be judged by a panel on industry experts such as designers Marie Saint Pierre and Dimitri Chris, FLARE correspondent Janna Zittrer and owners of JoshuaDAVID boutique Joshua Fagan and David Archer.
The Heels & HeART is a Montreal-based company that has created a platform for young designers to showcase their talent to a large spectrum of industry experts and media through superior quality events. This platform not only helps up-and-coming talent build and establish their brand but more importantly creates awareness for a worthy cause.
As mentioned earlier, this year’s wearable art fashion show will be donating all proceeds to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. In addition to the Fashion Wonderland fashion show co-founder of Heels & HeART, Kristina McGill has joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s Team in Training to run a 42 km marathon on May 22nd to honor those affected by blood cancers.
Although you may not be directly affected by this cause we ask that you open you heart to those in need and who’s lives you can change by supporting this amazing cause.
